I taught myself how to weave on a whim in early 2017 and immediately fell in love with the process. Working with my hands away from a computer screen helped me access imagination and intuition in a different way than my drawings and patterns. I source my fibers during my travels and choose them based on colors and textures that feel exciting to work with. In sourcing my materials this way, the weavings also become a celebration of the human experience and diversity of perspectives, a collection of fibers created and dyed by hands all over the world.
